asked the Minister of Labour how many persons have been thrown out of employment as a result of the official request for the withdrawal of the almost completed "Siege of Lucknow" film?

No demands had been made at the local office of the Ministry in this connection, and no claims to benefit can be traced in respect of persons who may have been engaged in any part of the production.

Mr. Shinwell

In view of the fact that a large number of persons have lost their employment as a result of Government intervention, do the Government propose to compensate these persons?

Mr. Brown

The hon. Member makes a statement which, as my answer already makes clear, is very dubious.
