asked the Home Secretary the number of fatal and nonfatal accidents that have occurred at the docks and wharves in the vicinity of the Port of London during 1937 and the nearest available date?

The numbers of such accidents reported to the Factory Department are, for 1937, 38 fatal and 2,188 non-fatal, and for 1938, up to the end of last month, 20 fatal and 1,961 non-fatal.
