HC Deb 12 December 1938 vol 342 c1611
74. Mr. E. J. Williams

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether there is an adequate number of first-aid men and supply of appliances at the Bridgend Royal Arsenal; and the methods of training and recruitment for first-aid work?

Sir P. Sassoon

The responsibility for the provision, at the Royal Arsenal Factory, Bridgend, of an adequate trained first-aid staff, with the necessary equipment, rests, under the terms of their contracts, with the contractors engaged upon the construction of the factory. I understand that an ambulance room, with a first-aid attendant in charge, has been provided in the centre of the site, and that first-aid outfits are available in the various section offices. If the hon. Member has any suggestions to make, I will inquire further into the matter.
