§ The Secretary of State for War (Mr. Hore-Belisha)During the 12 months ended 30th September last, 958 applicants for enlistment in the county of Durham were examined by medical officers, and, of this number, 102 were rejected by them as medically unfit. Figures for the corresponding period ended 30th September, 1937, are 542 and 92, respectively. Separate figures for the county borough are not available
