HC Deb 05 December 1938 vol 342 c872
65. Sir William Davison

asked the Lord Privy Seal by what method or procedure will the addresses of volunteers for the various branches of national service be kept up to date so that their services will be promptly available in the event of sudden emergency occurring?

Sir J. Anderson

I would ask my hon. Friend to await to-morrow's Debate, in the course of which I shall have an opportunity to make this point clear.

Sir W. Davison

Will my right hon. Friend bear in mind that in a constituency such as my own, with about 70,000 electors, there are something like 25 or 30 per cent. of changes every year? How is that to be dealt with in the case of a voluntary system?
