Mr. Menderasked the Prime Minister whether, in addition to the technical conversations between the staffs of Great Britain and France, it is proposed to hold similar conversations between representatives of the staffs of other countries to which this country has military obligations, such as Portugal, Egypt and Iraq?
§ The Prime MinisterAs the hon. Member was informed on 5th April last, a British military mission is at present in Portugal for the purpose of discussing matters of general interest to both countries. As regards Egypt and Iraq, there is already close and cordial cooperation between the British military authorities on the spot and the military authorities of the two allied Governments.
