Sir Ernest Graham-Littleasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consider setting up an official inquiry into the present rate of allowance on power and industrial methylated spirits and unmethylated spirits used duty free in arts and manufacture, with a view to ascertaining the extent, if any, by which the allowance exceeds the costs incurred by distillers in order to comply with the restrictions imposed by law for the purposes of revenue control?
