HC Deb 28 April 1938 vol 335 cc292-3
23. Mr. Raikes

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to the fact that, following the recent change in the terminal hour on weekdays at Hampstead from 10, to 10.30 p.m., Kensington is now the only London division having 10 p.m. closing; and whether he can see his way to take any action which would result in Kensington securing a later closing hour?

Sir S. Hoare

I am aware of the fact to which my hon. Friend refers, but the matter is entirely one for the discretion of the licensing justices, and I have no authority to intervene.
