§ Remuneration of Permanent Cleaning Staff under the Police Architect and Surveyor.
§ (a) Central supervisory staff
§ Technical Assistants £3 15s. by 4s. to £6 a week.
§ Cleaning Supervisors £3 10S. by 2s. 6d. to £4 a week.
§ The Senior Technical Assistant receives an additional allowance of 10s. a week.

§ Following is the answer:
§ The answer to the first part of the question is seven; to the second, 123 single men and one married officer; to the third, 12. As regards the fourth, Messrs. Leslie and Company, Limited, were the second lowest tenderers at £57,575 subject to certain deductions: the lowest tenderer wihdrew on being notified of the acceptance of their tender. Messrs. Leslie and Company were contractors for the superstructure.
§ The particulars of the other contracts are as follow:
§ (b)Full time cleaners and porters:
§ Male, 48s. by 2s. to 52s. per week of 48 hours.
§ Female, 38s. by 1s. 6d. to 41s. per week of 42 hours.
§ (Male cleaners at New Scotland Yard work longer hours and are paid 54s. by 2s. to 62s. a week. Female cleaners at New Scotland Yard and at Lambeth are paid 29s. 6d. per week of 30 hours).
§ Foremen and forewomen receive additional allowances according to the numbers supervised.
§ (c) Part time employés receive proportionate wages according to the number of hours worked.
