62. Mr. Whiteley

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that school-leavers are being instructed by school teachers as to the type of approved society to join; and whether he will consult with the Board of Education with a view to informing school-leavers that this is the work of approved societies and not the teachers in the schools?

Sir K. Wood

The reply to the 'first part of the question is in the negative, but if the hon. Member will give me details of any cases of which he is aware I will gladly have inquiries made.

In view of the fact that there is some suspicion on this subject, is it not possible for the right hon. Gentleman to get into touch with the Board of Education on this matter?

I must act not on suspicion but on facts, arid if the hon. Member will send me any information I will look into it.
