§ 47. Mr. Thorneasked the Postmaster-General whether he can give any information in connection with postal orders and stamps stolen from the sub-post office at Commercial Road, E., on Wednesday night, 30th March; and, in particular, what was the value of the orders and stamps?
§ Major TryonThe total amount of the loss due to the burglary on 30th March at the Limehouse, near Church, sub-office is £667. Of this amount, £184 is in respect of postal orders, £187 in respect of postage stamps, and £296 in respect of other stamps, such as National Health and Unemployment Insurance stamps. So far no arrest has been made.
