HC Deb 04 April 1938 vol 334 cc18-9
27. Mr. G. Strauss

asked the Prime Minister whether the Belgian Government have made any representations to His Majesty's Government concerning the allegations made in the Belgian Parliament to the effect that European Press Agency, Limited, a company registered in Great Britain, was financed with German money and had, as its main purpose, the carrying out of Nazi propaganda in Belgium?

Mr. Butler

No, Sir.

Mr. Strauss

Will the Under-Secretary give an assurance that investigations will be made into this and allied companies, about which these allegations have been made and supported from a number of outside sources?

Mr. Butler

Perhaps the hon. Member will be good enough to give me any information in his possession.

Mr. Strauss

Will the hon. Gentleman ask the Home Secretary for the information?
