HC Deb 21 October 1937 vol 327 c37
91. Sir P. Hannon

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will inform the House on the measures adopted for the return of Spanish refugees who were received in this country during the first seven months of 1937 to their own country?

Mr. Eden

I understand that negotiations are at present proceeding in London on this subject between the committee and representatives of the Apostolic Delegate at Bilbao of the Holy See, who has instructions to inquire into this subject.

Sir P. Hannon

Will my right hon. Friend agree that the sooner these children are restored to their own country, the better for everybody concerned?
