HC Deb 21 October 1937 vol 327 c21
46. Mr. Cary

asked the Prime Minister whether he will consider the advisability of moving to appoint a Select Committee of the House of Commons to inquire into the reform and recruiting needs of the Army?

The Prime Minister

In view of the action which is being taken and the inquiries which are being made into this subject by my right hon. Friend, I do not consider that the appointment of a Select Committee of the House is required.
