HC Deb 22 November 1937 vol 329 c836
15. Mr. A. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the visit of a British naval, military, and air mission to Portugal will take place as arranged?

Mr. Eden

A proposal to send to Portugal a British military Mission composed of representatives of the three Defence Services is at present under consideration with the Portuguese Ambassador in London. No decision has, however, yet been reached.

Mr. Henderson

May we take it that His Majesty's Government will not seek the approval of Signor Mussolini before sending this Commission?
