HC Deb 18 November 1937 vol 329 cc576-7
67. Mr. Thorne

asked the Minister of Health whether he can give the House any information in connection with the death of two men at the Maidenhead Poor Law institution on Monday; can he say what was the cause of death and the ages of the two men?

Sir K. Wood

I am informed that at the inquest held yesterday afternoon on these two men, the verdict was "death from misadventure through carbon monoxide poisoning." The ages of the men were stated to be about 40 and 50 years respectively. I am asking the county council for a further report on the matter.
