§ Sir S. HoareI understand that this unfortunate fatality occurred in connection with the demolition of an archway. The jury recommended that greater precautions should be taken during the rest of the work and it was intimated at the inquest that this would be done. Operations of this kind are not at present subject to the Factory Acts and Regulations, but will come within the new Factories Act next year.
