44. Sir Nicholas Grattan-Doyle

asked the Minister of Transport whether it is his intention to set up a committee to revise, co-ordinate, and consolidate the law relating to highways and roads; and, if so, whether he can give the terms of reference and the membership of the committee?

Captain Hudson

In conjunction with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health we propose to set up a committee to consider the consolidation of Highway Law, but the exact terms of reference and constitution of the committee are not yet settled.

Can the hon. and gallant Gentleman say, at least, when that committee will be set up?
