HC Deb 15 November 1937 vol 329 c10
14. Mr. Kirby

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will give to the House information as to the situation during 1937 on the British-Italian frontier in the Ogaden, in particular as to incidents as between British and Italian frontier posts; and whether any fighting has taken place as a result of such incidents?

Viscount Cranborne

The situation calls for no special comment. One minor incident occurred last April in the neighbourhood of Borama, which was forthwith satisfactorily settled locally. No fighting has taken place.
