asked the Secretary of State for War the number of noncommissioned officers and men who were discharged from the Army on expiration of service during the year ended 30th September, 1937?

During the year in question 18,100 warrant officers, non-commissioned officers and men left the Colours on completion of their Colour service. Of these, 15,546 were transfers to the Army Reserve.
