The Under-Secretary of State for India (Lord Stanley)The replies of the States have now been received to the Viceroy's invitation to the Rulers to specify the limitations on the exercise of the legislative and executive authority of the Federation to which they would wish their accession to Federation to be subject. The suggestions of the Princes for adapting their individual requirements to the scheme of Federation embodied in the Act of 1935 are still under active consideration, with a view to further progress in the negotiations with them.
