asked the Minister of Health the number of rural dwelling-houses which have been reconditioned under the Housing {Rural Workers) Acts since their operation in the West Riding of Yorkshire, and the total amount of grant paid in this area for each year?

Following is the answer:

The total number of houses reconditioned under the Housing (Rural Workers) Acts, 1926 and 1931, up to 31st March, 1937, in the County of Yorks (West Riding) was 77 and the total amount of grant paid up to that date in the area was £7,070 the amounts paid in each financial year being as follow:
