HC Deb 31 May 1937 vol 324 c670
46. Mr. Vyvyan Adams

asked the Prime Minister whether he is now able to state what measures are contemplated by His Majesty's Government to reduce the remuneration of the Law Officers of England to a figure compatible with their importance as Ministers of the Crown.

The Prime Minister

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to him on 5th May, to which I am not in a position to add.

Mr. Adams

Will the remuneration of the Law Officers be governed by their status as Ministers?

The Prime Minister

No I could not say that.
