HC Deb 31 May 1937 vol 324 c660
21. Mr. De Ia Bère

asked the Minister of Agriculture what steps the Ministry are taking to assist the growers of asparagus, and in particular the National Mark, to make better known to the public the quality, in order to increase consumption?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

Publicity is given by the Ministry to National Mark products, including home grown vegetables, by means of National Mark exhibitions arranged periodically in cities and towns in different parts of the country, and by recipe books and leaflet; issued free of charge, and which are widely disseminated.

Mr. De Ia Bère

Can the Minister assure the House that the Government, having at length and at long last announced their agricultural policy, will bear this matter in mind?

Mr. Morrison

I assure my hon. Friend that all relevant considerations will be borne in mind.
