HC Deb 25 May 1937 vol 324 c100
14. Mr. Day

asked the Secretary of State for War the number of married families of soldiers on the married quarters roll in the British Isles who are at present waiting to be allotted larger housing accommodation; and what steps are being taken in this matter?

The Secretary of State for War (Mr. Duff Cooper)

The number of families on the married quarters roll in the British Isles to whom a larger quarter would be allotted were it available is 1,107. Quarters are being provided as rapidly as funds can be made available.

Mr. Day

Is the Minister satisfied with the manner in which they are being provided?
