§ Mr. E. BrownThe number of wage-earners on the colliery books of mines in Derbyshire at 24th April,' 1937, was 44,295. At 19th April, 1937, 3,449 insured persons, aged 14 to 64, in all occupations in the coal mining industry 1222 classification, were recorded as unemployed at Employment Exchanges situated in Derbyshire. Separate figures for miners are not available.
