asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the total number of schoolchildren in Maryhill, Glasgow, receiving free meals, as necessitous cases, for the years 1935 and 1936, respectively?

I am informed that the numbers are 607 and 710, respectively.

Mr. Davidson

In view of that increase, will the right hon. Gentleman support the representations made by Glasgow Corporation to have the second city of the Empire scheduled as a Special Area?
