HC Deb 04 May 1937 vol 323 c978
89. Mr. Mander

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether the proceedings of the inquiry now being held on the recent disaster to the "Capricornus" will be published; and whether a separate and public inquiry will be held in this country?

The Under-Secretary of State for Air (Sir Philip Sassoon)

In reply to the first part of the question, I am not at present in a position to add to the reply which I gave to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Thanet (Captain Balfour) on 14th April. As regards the last part, my Noble Friend will be in a better position to consider whether or not any additional inquiry is desirable when the report of the French investigation becomes available to him.
