HC Deb 03 May 1937 vol 323 c777
35. Brigadier-General Brown

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether the Government have now considered the Cutforth (Milk) Reorganisation Report; and what action they propose to take in the matter?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

I regret that I am not yet able to make any statement upon this subject.

Brigadier-General Brown

Will there be legislation before the summer?

Mr. Morrison

I hope to be able to announce proposals before the end of the summer and to initiate such legislation as is necessary to maintain the position. My hon. and gallant Friend will understand that I have just received comments from the Milk Marketing Board and the Farmers' Union, and I must study them.
