§ Mr. E. BrownIt has been decided to appoint a committee to consider the working of the Fair Wages Resolution of the House of Commons of 10th March, 1909, as embodied in Government contracts, and to advise whether any changes are desirable and practicable. The committee will include departmental representatives and representatives of employers and workpeople selected in consultation with the National Confederation of Employers' Organisations and the Trades Union Congress General Council, together with an independent chairman.
§ Mr. R. AclandWill the inquiry cover contracts entered into by county councils, or only those of the central Government?
§ Mr. BrownThese are contracts which are governed by the Fair Wages Resolution, on which action is now taken.
