§ The Secretary of State for Scotland (Mr. Elliot)I understand that there are no public records stored at Maidstone Prison. The right hon. Member, perhaps, has in mind the branch repository of the Public Record Office at the old Canterbury Prison. This repository is used for the storage of modern departmental records and does not contain the records of any Scottish Department.
