HC Deb 10 March 1937 vol 321 c1134
27. Mr. Hepworth

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether woollen goods imported into Turkey are subject to quota, and, in that case, whether he will state the percentage; and whether he has recently made any representations with the object of increasing the quota?

Mr. Eden

Certain woollen goods imported into Turkey from the United Kingdom are subject to quotas. The quotas are given in the form of specified annual amounts in metric tons, and not percentages of total imports into Turkey. The answer to the last part of the question is, No, Sir.
