§ Mr. ElliotContributions amounting to £550 have been paid by the Scottish Milk Marketing Board to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research towards the cost, in the programme of the Department's Water Pollution Research Board, of investigations of methods of purification of effluents from dairies and milk products factories. No new plant for the treatment of waste water or effluents 951 has been installed by the Milk Marketing Boards in Scotland at any of the creameries purchased by the boards.
