HC Deb 08 March 1937 vol 321 c791
51. Mr. W. Joseph Stewart

asked the Minister of Labour whether it is his intention, in appointing an advisory committee to work in the Special and certified Areas for the purpose of advising in regard to the establishing of new industries, to include representatives of local authorities, trade unions and employers of labour to serve on such committee?

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead

The duty of the committee to be appointed to advise my right hon. Friend will be not to deal with the Special Areas but to advise on claims from outside areas to be certified by him.
