HC Deb 02 March 1937 vol 321 c178
55. Mr. Smedley Crooke

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the fact that the newly-formed volunteer force of fire-fighters against incendiary bombs are to be supplied with badges, he will reconsider his decision and have badges and uniform served out to members of the National Defence units, so that those ex-service men who are again offering their services may at least be put on an equal footing with those who now volunteer for the first time?

Mr. Cooper

I fear that I cannot accept my hon. Friend's argument for the issue of uniform to members of the National Defence Companies. Badges have already been issued.
