18. Mr. Sorensen

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether fresh negotiations are likely to take place in the immediate future respecting greater freedom of trade between this country and the Scandinavian countries?

Mr. Stanley

No arrangements have been made for trade negotiations with the Scandinavian countries.

Mr. Sorensen

Are we to understand from that, that representations have been received from commercial quarters respecting trade between this country and Denmark?

Mr. Stanley

That is an entirely different question.

Mr. Sorensen

But Denmark is a Scandinavian country.
