§ Sir J. SimonThe sum of £1,563 was voted annually from 1831 to 1935 inclusive. The total amount voted was, therefore, £164,115. From 1936 the charge was transferred from Votes to the Civil List in accordance with paragraph 18 of the Report of the Select Committee on the Civil List.
§ Mr. DayIs it the intention of the Government to make any further contribution to racing in the Irish Free State?
§ Sir J. SimonI think that the present arrangement works very well.
