§ Mr. AttleeMay I ask the Prime Minister what will be the business on Friday, and also what business it is proposed to take in the event of the Motion for the suspension of the Eleven o'Clock Rule being carried?
§ The Prime Minister (Mr. Chamberlain)As I have already announced, on Friday we shall take the concluding stages of the Exchange Equalisation Account Bill. Afterwards we shall consider the following Orders: Export Guarantees Bill, Second Reading; Local Government Superannuation Bill, Report and Third Reading; Rating and Valuation Bill, Second Reading; Trade Marks (Amendrnent) Bill [Lords], Report and Third Reading.
We are moving the suspension of the Eleven o'Clock Rule to-night in order to obtain the Committee stage of the Agriculture [Money] Resolution. We also propose to take the first four Orders on the Paper, but I do not think they will cause much controversy.
§
Motion made, and Question put,
That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
