§ The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour (Mr. Butler)The number of local education authorities in England and Wales exercising powers with regard to juvenile employment under Section 81 of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1935, is 107. This includes authorities for elementary education exercising powers delegated to them by county education authorities. My Department receives annual reports on the juvenile employment schemes of all education authorities exercising these powers, and the work of the authorities is reviewed, together with similar work undertaken direct by my Department, in the annual report of the Ministry of Labour.
