asked the President of the Board of Trade the value of foodstuffs of all categories imported into the United Kingdom from the Dominions and foreign countries, respectively, in the first five months of this year?

During the five months ended May, 1937, the value of food and drink (including living animals for food and feeding stuffs for animals) imported into the United Kingdom from British countries amounted to£79,800,000, and from foreign countries to£79,727,000.
