HC Deb 22 June 1937 vol 325 c1024
72. Mr. Parker

asked the Minister of Labour whether work has started upon the replacement of the temporary Employment Exchange in Barking, in view of the assurance given on 5th March, 1936, that it had been scheduled as an urgent case and would be dealt with in the near future, and the subsequent assurance that negotiations for a site were in progress?

Mr. E. Brown

Negotiations for the acquisition of a site are approaching completion. In the meantime sketch plans are being prepared with a view to expediting matters as much as possible.
