asked the Minister of Labour the number of persons in receipt of unemployment assistance at Pontefract, Castleford, Normanton, and Goole, respectively?

I have been asked to reply. The number of payments of unemployment assistance allowances, excluding allowances paid in supplementation of insurance benefit, at the Employment Exchanges named during the week ended 11th June, 1937, were as follow: Pontefract, 1,203; Castleford, 1,751; Normanton, 463; Goole, 321. In addition, supplementation allowances were paid in six eases.
