Mr. Gibsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has had under consideration the large sums of money lost by small investors (including many in Greenock shipyards) who, since the War, have put their savings into shares of industrial companies; and whether he has any statement to make regarding compensation to such shareholders being made a substantive part of any scheme he may make for the taxation of the profits of such industrial companies?
