HC Deb 16 June 1937 vol 325 c359
37. Mr. Day

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air how many deaths have occurred in the Royal Air Force from flying accidents during the previous six months; and how many of these deaths occurred in flying-machines that were not fitted with safety-slot devices?

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead

The figures asked for are 65 and 16.

Mr. Day

Can the Minister say whether, where fatal accidents have taken place, the pilots were supplied with parachutes?

Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead

That another question.
