§ The Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department (Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd)My right hon. Friend has received a report from the factory inspector with regard to this case. The injured man stumbled, his arm was trapped between the platform and the side of the well, and the assistance of the fire brigade was necessary before he could be released. The hoist was last examined about a fortnight before the accident, and the fencing was in accordance with the generally recognised standard for this type of hoist.
