§ Mr. EdenThe action taken by the Italian Government has been the subject of discussion between His Majesty's Ambassador at Rome and the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs on two occasions. With regard to the second part of the question, the joint declaration of January last still represents, so far as His Majesty's Government are concerned, the policy they would wish to see followed in the Mediterranean area.
