§ 25. Mr. Kellyasked the Minister of Agriculture the number of approved tuberculin-tested herds in Great Britain?
§ The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health (Mr. Bernays)I have been asked to reply. On 31st March last there were 1,795 herds in England and Wales licensed for the production of tuberculin-tested milk. I am informed by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture that there are at present in England and Wales 293 attested herds (which are tuberculin-tested) on the register kept by his Department. This number includes 84 herds which are also licensed for the production of tuberculin-tested milk. Any inquiry as to Scotland should be addressed to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State.
