§ The Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education (Mr. Kenneth Lindsay)I am aware of the practice to which my hon. Friend refers. Similar arrangements have been made from time to time in other districts. The adoption of this practice is included among the 1415 various recommendations made in the report of the Inter-Departmental Committee on Road Safety among School Children circulated to local education authorities last year. I am proposing shortly to communicate further with local education authorities on the Inter-Departmental Committee's recommendations generally.
