HC Deb 03 June 1937 vol 324 c1154
17. Mr. Westwood

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that housing schemes in Kirkcaldy and building schemes in Falkirk and elsewhere are being held up because of a dispute between joiners and plasterers on the question of fixing plaster-boards; and whether he is now in a position to state when the industrial court to inquire into this dispute is likely to start its work?

Mr. E. Brown

I am aware of the position at Kirkcaldy and elsewhere. The Court of Inquiry which I recently set up to inquire into the dispute in connection with the fixing of certain patent boards opened its inquiry in Edinburgh this morning.
