asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air, whether it is proposed to set up an aero-engine factory in Lancashire to assemble the parts for which it is understood arrangements to manufacture have already been made?

No, Sir. Arrangements for assembling the parts have already been made, and no further facilities for this purpose are required at present.

Can the hon. and gallant Member say where the assembling of the parts is to take place?

It is to take place at the Austin and Bristol shadow factories.
